For Gentlemen

Morning dress preferred, lounge suits otherwise. Hats will not be worn.

For Ladies

Formal day dress, with hats or fascinators most welcome.

Additional Guidance

Should anyone be looking for additional guidance on the dress codes above, we thought to include the below.

For gentlemen, morning dress comprises a black or grey morning coat, grey morning trousers, a white shirt, a waistcoat, a necktie and black leather ‘work’ shoes. National dress is an acceptable alternative to morning dress. Gentlemen may also wear a lounge suit (i.e. a ‘work’ suit) with a white shirt, a necktie and black leather ‘work’ shoes.

For ladies, a formal day dress would typically fall below the knee and would at least partially cover the shoulders. A jacket or pashmina may be worn (and may be preferred depending on the weather). A formal trouser suit or jumpsuit may be an appropriate alternative. All-white and all-black outfits would preferably be avoided. Should it be of interest, the maids of honour will be wearing all-green outfits.

Please note that for ladies the Egyptian Room at Goodwood House will be available to leave and collect hats, bags and alternative footwear over the course of the day.
